Christmas music is presented in song and dance in the richly costumed holiday pageant that is the Starbright Christmas Concert. Or come join in song at traditional Christmas concerts by the Stratford Concert Choir.

Stratford celebrates music for the holidays with concerts for every taste. Here are some of the highlights of our musical season:

  • The Grand Philharmonic Choir Chamber Singers Benjamin Britten at 100, November 24, 3 pm, St. James Anglican Church, by donation. A program of Britten music to celebrate his 100th birthday. 519 271-3572

  • Starbright - A Christmas Celebration, December 8, 2pm, Stratford Festival Theatre, $38-$45. Glowing candles, glittering gowns and soaring music, this glorious celebration features popular songs along with holiday classics performed by superb singers, choirs and dancers.

  • A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, December 15, 3 pm, St. James Anglican Church, $15. Guest readers join the Choir of St. James for the annual reading of Dickens' Christmas Carol. Proceeds go to support the St. James Food Bank. 519 271-3572
