Culinary Attractions
We're
real foodies in Stratford!
Not a surprise considering that Perth
County has been
cultivating food for the world for well over 100 years. The County's byways and
country roads lead to a host of hidden culinary gems - from farm markets,
cheese makers, bakeries, and vegetable growers to farms cultivating heritage
breeds of all kinds.
Explore
the countryside to discover local farm-gate markets and artisan food producers
in their fields on a guided tour of four of our favourite farms and culinary
attractions just outside the city on tours being offered in June.
Stratford loves food, especially the local producers and farmers' products.
We even have two farmers' markets. Every Saturday morning it's the Stratford
Farmers' Market and Sunday mornings it is the Slow Food Perth County Market in Market Square behind City Hall in downtown Stratford.
Learn
more about our amazing producers, many of whom welcome the public to their
farms to learn about the dynamic agricultural character and food culture that
have transformed Perth
County into a culinary
and agri-tourism hotspot.
