Satire, Struggle and The Female Experience - Stratford Writers Festival

“Humour is how I metabolize things,” says BuzzFeed Canada senior writer Scaachi Koul. Both Scaachi and blogger and editor Kerry Clare are known not only for their strong opinions, but also for their sharp wit and biting humour. And both authors know their way around the Internet—and just how brutal it can be as a female writer. Join us when Scaachi and Kerry join forces at the Stratford Writers Festival for an exclusive discussion that will include a look at how humour can be used to tackle serious topics such as sexism, misogyny, body image, race relations, and online harassment, while keeping a reader thinking as well as laughing.

“Stratford itself is the type of walkable wholesome town Rodgers and Hammerstein might write a musical about.”
