Event Time: 6 pm - Doors open to view exhibits, 7 pm - 8:30 pm - Reading

John Lazarus, an award-winning professional Canadian playwright since 1970, will give a reading from two of his plays. Because we’re in Stratford, John will be reading from two plays of his that have relationships to two of Shakespeare’s plays: “Old Enough to Kill,” a sword-and-sorcery “spinoff” from Shakespeare’s “Macbeth,” featuring the 15-year-old “Flea” – Fleance, son of Banquo; and “Trouble on Dibble Street,” an adaptation of “The Merry Wives of Windsor,” set in 1910 Ontario. The reading is organized by Theatre Ontario, as part of their “Playwright-in-Person” program, made possible through PlayConnect – a grant from the Playwrights Guild of Canada, funded by the Canada Council.
This event is wheelchair accessible.
